Members and local presidents have been reaching out about something troubling: they're being pressured to get their locals to donate to leadership campaigns. We're talking $1,000 to $5,000+ requests. From sitting Board members.

What members might be surprised to learn is that OPSEU has no rules on internal campaign fundraising. No caps on amounts raised. No caps on amounts spent. No defined campaign period. And no reporting requirements.

That means no accountability to our members

At our first town hall more than thirty OPSEU members logged in to talk frankly about what's working in our union—and what urgently isn't. Local presidents, stewards, retirees, frontline workers. Ram opened by making one thing clear: this space isn't about speeches. It's about setting the agenda from the ground up. "Your struggles aren't just stories to me—they're my mandate as your union executive."

“Like many of you, I've watched our union fight the same battles, spend millions on the same tactics, and get the same results. Meanwhile, your rent keeps rising, your grocery bill keeps climbing, and your paycheck keeps shrinking. OPSEU/SEFPO, we can't keep doing this.
